How Laria.ai Built an AI Content Platform with RVE as the Foundation

What is Laria.ai?

Laria.ai is an AI content platform built to help brands create advertising content at scale. It brings together AI UGC, video generation, product shots, scripts and automated editing, giving teams one place to create content for platforms like TikTok, Instagram, Meta and YouTube.

Generate content with AI, then turn it into something that's actually ready to publish.

The Mission

Creating ad content normally involves a lot of moving parts. A team might use one tool to generate an image, another to create a video, another for voice or avatars, and then finally move everything into an editor to assemble the ad. Laria wanted to bring that whole process into one product.

AI could handle more of the production process, while the user kept control over the final creative.

More Than AI Generation

Generation is only one part of Laria. Users can create AI UGC videos, work with AI avatars, generate product shots and build advertising creative for different platforms and formats.

But generated content still needs to be edited. Text needs moving, B-roll needs adding, timing needs changing, and stickers, subtitles, music and branding all need room for adjustment. Laria didn't just need AI models behind the scenes; it needed a proper creative environment around them.

AI could generate the content. Laria still needed somewhere for users to work with it.

The Challenge

Laria had a clear vision for the product, but building the editing layer underneath it was a completely different engineering problem. For video, timelines, playback, media handling, drag-and-drop, text, overlays and rendering all need to work reliably.

More importantly, the editor couldn't be isolated from the AI. Generated content needed to flow directly into the editing experience, so users could immediately take what the AI created and make it their own. Building all of that from scratch would have meant spending months on editor infrastructure instead of building Laria.

The Solution

Laria used React Video Editor as the foundation for its editing experience. RVE gave the team the core editing infrastructure they needed, while still giving them the flexibility to build their own product and workflows on top.

Instead of sending users to a separate editing tool, AI-generated content could be brought directly into an editable experience inside Laria. That meant the team could spend more time on what made Laria unique - its AI workflows, generation tools and ad creation experience - rather than rebuilding the fundamentals of an editor.

Implementation

RVE became part of the foundation underneath Laria's creative workflow. The teams worked closely together to connect Laria's AI generation pipeline with the editing experience and adapt RVE around the product they wanted to build.
